Old Glory waves along Warrenton’s Main Street on Flag Day.
It commemorates the Second Continental Congress’ adoption of the flag of the United States on June 14, 1777.
A ceremony to properly dispose of tattered flags will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at VFW Post 7728 at Morrisville.
American Legion Post 247 and Boy Scout Troop 1930 will join the VFW in conducting the ceremony.
