U.S. Army Col. Rick Davis, the last commander of Vint Hill Farms Station
, joins Fauquier historian Ripley Robinson, portraying Gen. Stonewall Jackson, at a 1991 Memorial Day ceremony at the Warrenton Cemetery.
Mr. Robinson, of Midland, died in 2003 at age 82. A Civil War re-enactor for 41 years, he started “with the rank of private in the infantry and continued to the rank of general in the Army of Northern Virginia,” his obituary reads. “He was well-known for his portrayal of Gen. Stonewall Jackson.”
Col. Davis, retired and living in North Carolina, served as the guest speaker for the ceremony at the monument that honors 600 Confederate soldiers
