It's our pleasure to welcome the return of Virtuoso Italian Guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, Beppe Gambetta to The Listening Room at Drum & Strum presenting his brand new release, Short Stories on Saturday, October 14th at 8pm. Gambetta is a guitarist, vocalist, researcher, and composer born in Genova, Italy who developed a style that brings American and European Roots to speak together with one voice. In his unique approach, Beppe blends energetic grooves with passionate melodies, giving new life to sources from different times, periods and places. In addition, the original music he composes gives contemporary influences to traditional roots music. His passion has led to a prolific career that has now taken him to venues as varied as the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and to performances in all 50 US states and throughout North America, Europe, Australia, and South America. Short Stories is Beppe’s 13th album and is inspired more than ever by his trans-national life on the road. As his time in recent years has been equally divided between North America and Europe, he has found opportunities to explore territories, landscapes, people and stories from both sides of the Ocean. The beauty and range of Short Stories came from the melding of many of Beppe’s diverse musical passions. It creates a journey through three original compositions with innovative arrangements in four languages, English, German, Italian, and Genovese. Singer, songwriter, and entertainer extraordinaire, Gambetta will lead listeners on a journey of songs, stories, and blistering instrumentals steeped in musical traditions from his travel around the world. Tickets are $15, seating is limited, and advance purchase is highly recommended. Children 12 and under admitted free with parent or guardian.
