Elk Run Historical Church Open House

May 20, 10 am to 3 pm. 12187 Elk Run Rd, Midland, VA.
A special artifact display on the Manahoac Indians, who occupied the area before Virginia settlers, will also be provided. New history panels showing the relationship of the nearby Germantown settlement with the Church and “Highlights of the Anglican Church in Colonial Virginia” will be available for viewing. Visitors can tour the Mini-Museum and the Manahoac Indian artifact display and view some of the artifacts of the seven year archaeological dig recovered at the site. The Mini-Museum was built over an open excavated segment of the old Church foundation. Much of the history and past events at the Historic Elk Run Church Site are on its website at http://www.elkrunchurch.org Info.rmation handouts and refreshments will be provided.
