Canaan Fir is a durable evergreen tree that is pyramidal in form. The foliage is a dark green on top with a hint of silvery-blue underneath. It’s needles are short and soft. Does not shed needles and has strong branches. Makes an excellent Christmas tree.Abies balsamea phanerolepis prefers full sun to part shade. It will reach a mature height of 40-55 feet and width of 20-25 feet. Plan in zones 4 to 6. Tolerates clay and sandy soil.
