Christ Church, Millwood, a welcoming congregation in the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia, seeks a part-time Parish Administrator to work as a team member with the parish’s clergy and staff.
The Parish Administrator will be a friendly and welcoming representative of Christ Church, responsible for greeting and assisting visitors, whether in person, by e-mail or on the telephone; preparing bulletins for weekly and special services; preparing monthly newsletters and other mailings; assisting clergy, staff and parishioners as needed; maintaining the church calendar, Website and member contact information; maintaining office supplies; assisting the Treasurer, Music Director and Vestry; and performing other administrative tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational, administrative and computer skills; be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook; basic experience with Website maintenance software; and knowledge of the internet social media platforms.
