Firefighters douse the remains of a large barn along Heddings Road on Wednesday.
Fire destroyed a barn Wednesday night about five miles southeast of Catlett.

No humans or animals suffered injury in the Heddings Road fire, reported at 4:25 p.m., according to the Catlett Volunteer Fire and Rescue Co.

Firefighters arrived to find the large barn “fully involved” and the blaze spreading.

The firefighters shuttled water via tankers to contain and knock down the blaze.

In addition to Catlett, other units from Fauquier and Prince William County responded.
