An overturned northbound tractor-trailer blocks Routes 15/17/29 just south of Warrenton.
High winds have created dangerous situations throughout Fauquier and the region Friday morning.

A northbound tractor-trailer overturned on Routes 15/17/29 south of Warrenton, near the former Smith Equipment building and the county landfill.

About 15,700 Fauquier County homes and businesses had lost electricity as of 10:15 a.m.

Dominion Energy reported 9,298 customers without electricity. That represents almost half of Dominion’s customers in Fauquier.

Rappahannock Electrical Co-op reported more than 4,581 Fauquier customers without electricity — almost 80 percent of its accounts here.

NOVEC reported more than 1,856 outages — about a quarter of its Fauquier customers.

Paul Lawrence of Marshall shared the tractor-trailer photo.
