The Bluemont Concert Series will open its 35th summer season in Warrenton on Saturday night, July 8, with The Taters, performing a “mix of roots-rock, power-pop, country and Americana.”
The seven-concert series will run through Aug. 19. Bluemont’s popular series brings world-class performers downtown on Saturday evenings. The audiences bring blankets and chairs to the lawn of the Warren Green Building at Culpeper and Hotel streets.
“We are very excited about this year’s wonderful variety of music,” Bluemont Executive Director Lily Dunning Widman said. “All are welcome to join us for this great tradition of world-class music right here in our own community.”
All concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $5 per person, $4 for Bluemont Friends and seniors, $2 for children younger than 12. Proceeds help support our Bluemont’s Artists-In-Education program in Fauquier schools.
The Warrenton concerts again will feature a beer and wine garden from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
If a concerts moves to the Taylor Middle School auditorium because of weather, no alcohol will be served.
Patrons may not brink pets to concerts or smoke.
Bluemont relies on more than 1,200 volunteers each summer and on the support of local businesses and community organizations to stage concerts in seven Virginia communities, including Warrenton
