Bealeton man faces charge for stabbing former roomie

Trevor Joseph Busby, 20, charged with aggravated malicious wounding.
Fauquier sheriff’s deputies charged a 20-year-old Bealeton man for a stabbing Tuesday night.

Trevor Joseph Busby faces a charge of aggravated malicious wounding for allegedly attacking another man, also 20, in an apartment complex, Sgt. James Hartman said.

Responding a 911 call around 10 p.m., deputies found the man “and a neighbor who was rendering first aid” in a second-floor stairwell of a building in the 6300 block of Village Center Drive in Bealeton, according to Sgt. Hartman.

The man had stab wounds to his neck and torso.

“After obtaining statements from the victim and witnesses, it was determined the victim had been stabbed by a former roommate during some sort of argument or altercation,” the sergeant added. “The suspect was also located on scene.”

The victim, “in stable condition” received treatment at Fauquier Hospital.

Mr. Busby remained in the Fauquier County Adult Detention Center without bond Thursday morning.
