Wakefield School’s Archwood Community Theater presents the musical “Jekyll & Hyde.” Senior Ethan Rosenfeld plays Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde, as he portrays both good and evil in a single character. A cast of students, parents and faculty, including the head of school, perform in the musical in the school’s lower gym. Tickets available at the door or online; $10 per person.

The Liberty High School theatre students present their winter play, “Little Women.” Based on Louisa May Alcott’s life, this musical follows four sisters growing up during the Civil War. General admission, $10; students, teachers and senior citizens, $8. Cash only.

All three branches of the Fauquier County Public Library join the nationwide celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday. The event features a special story time and visit from the Cat in the Hat for children in elementary school. Each child will receive a complimentary book, courtesy of the Fauquier Education Association. Free.

Red Cross History Family Day

The Fauquier History Museum at the Old Jail opens a new exhibit, “Everywhere for Everyone: Fauquier’s Red Cross.” The event includes children’s crafts, period uniforms and a Clara Barton impersonator. Free.

Mardi Gras Masquerade
6 p.m. Saturday, March 2
9236 Tournament Road, Warrenton

Fauquier Springs Country Club hosts its first Mardi Gras Masquerade honoring two community activists. Dinner, dancing and prizes included. Open to the public. $50 for non-members; $45 for members.
