Library branches in Bealeton, Marshall and Warrenton will celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday with crafts and a visit from The Cat in the Hat.
Fundraisers and runs in Fauquier top the list of entertainment options for the first weekend in March.
Topping the list, all three Fauquier County Public Library branches will celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday with a special craft and story time Saturday.
Other options include a pancake breakfast, regional science fair and two runs at Sky Meadows State Park.
Pancake breakfast fundraiser 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, March 3

The Liberty High School Band program will hold a pancake breakfast fundraiser at Applebee’s in Warrenton. Breakfast includes eggs, sausage/bacon and coffee tea or juice. Tickets available from LHS band students. $10 per person. www.facebook.com/events
Spring Thaw 5K and 10K at Sky Meadows 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3

Sky Meadow State Park hosts a 5K or 10K trail race through pastures, meadows, woods and historic farmland. Part of the Virginia State Parks Adventure Series. Parking at Turner Pond. Allegro Community School of the Arts fundraiser 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 3

The non-profit organization, Allegro, hosts an evening at Barrel Oak Winery with dinner and music from The Bottle Shop, Angela Barnard Gibson and Ross D’Urso.
