Todd Jordan rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries.
Louis Heisler completed 13 of 18 passes and ran for a TD.
After a slow start, Fauquier (2-2) scored 31 unanswered points to win Friday night at Millbrook.
Senior running back Todd Jordan scored a pair of third-quarter touchdowns in the 31-9 victory over the Pioneers (1-3).
Jordan rushed for 134 yards on 16 carries.
“That kid absolutely went off,” Falcons Coach Jamie Carter said. “He played like he has all season — hard. He played tough for us.”
Junior quarterback Louis Heisler also ran for a TD and completed 13 of 18 passes for 155 yards.
Briar Thomas, another junior, ran for a touchdown and intercepted a pass to set up one of Jordan’s scores.
The Falcons played with much greater intensity after halftime.
“We just came out so flat and with no emotion,” Carter said of his team’s start. “We kept making those small mental mistakes and, combine that with not being in the game, it hurt us.
“I give the kids all the credit in the world for coming out in the second half and getting it done.”
On defense, he said the defensive front played well. The Pioneers managed just 100 yards rushing and 67 passing.
“Every game from here on out is huge, every single win is big,” Carter added. “Being 1-2 (after last week’s lost to Handley), we had a lifeline and we’re hanging onto that lifeline with every snap of every game.”
James Wood (0-4) will visit Fauquier next Friday night for homecoming.
