Casanova’s Spring Hill Farm sells for $5.5 million
The 744-acre Spring Hill Farm at Casanova sold for $5.5 million.

This 100-acre property on Landmark Road near The Plains sold for $4.8 million.
This nine-acre property on Walnutdale Lane near The Plains sold for $1.12 million.
Charles “Chuck” Kuhn, the founder of JK Moving Services in Sterling, sold the former thoroughbred farm, which he purchased just more than three years ago, to a friend.
The new owner, Matt Rales purchased neighboring, 774-acre Longwood Farm in April 2016, the same time Mr. Kuhn bought Spring Hill.
Mr. Kuhn, who paid $4.25 million for Spring Hill, put the property under conservation easement last month.
The Cedar Run District sale tops the most recent list of county real estate transactions. But, two other seven-figure deals also closed last week in Fauquier.
A 100-acre horse farm near The Plains sold for $4.8 million.
The Oaks on Landmark Road, features a four-bedroom, four-bath stone house that dates to 1929. The Scott District property has a pool, a tennis court, two other homes, an office, stables, a riding arena, sheds, a dog kennel and paddock shelters.
Also last week, a four-bedroom home on nine acres near The Plains sold for $1.12 million.
The Walnutdale Lane property, also in Scott District, includes a freestanding garage and two sheds.

DonkeyFarmer - A developer was looking at the property to build hundreds of homes. That is WHY I'm saying thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for what? A conservation easement allows a propery owner to devalue his/her property and pay less taxes. This was not some kind of charitable act, but rather a smart financial move by a millionaire to avoid taxes. Not that im faulting him for doing so. I would do the same. But why are you blabbering about with thank you's?
