Fauquier sheriff’s investigators had not identified the two men as of sundown Friday.
Fauquier sheriff’s deputies found two dead men in a Bealeton area home Friday morning.
The deputies “responded to a call for a welfare check,” Sgt. James Hartman said in a press release late Friday afternoon. “Deputies arrived at the residence on Salisbury Lane at approximately 10 a.m. After entering the home, two males were found deceased within the residence.
“The victims have not been positively identified at this time. This incident is under active investigation.”
Authorities, however, described both of the bodies as those of adults.
Salisbury Lane serves a new subdivision off of Routes 15/29 south of Opal, an area with Bealeton addresses.
Sheriff’s Communications Manager Joell Kight said the office will release more information when it can — probably Saturday morning.
