Rectortown home and 6.7 acres sell for $1 million

Built in 1965, this home stands on Five Points Road near Rectortown, surrounded by larger properties.
A three-bedroom home on 6.7 acres near Rectortown last week sold for $1 million.

Built in 1965, “Bellamont” stands on Five Points Road, surrounded by larger properties in the Orange County Hunt territory.

The brick and clapboard home has 2-1/2 baths, five fireplaces, a master suite with spa bath, a gourmet kitchen, a two-car garage, a metal roof, patios, gardens, a koi pond, two paddocks and a run-in shed.

The property went on the market in August 2015 with an asking price of $1.15 million, according to Washington Fine Properties got the listing last September and priced “Bellamont” at $1.095 million.

The Scott District deal topped the most recent list of Fauquier property transactions.
