Where in the heck is coverage of the Gold Cup? Who won the races, stories about horses and trainers, who won the Gold Cup? Honestly, FauquierNowNews is seriously lacking, and to think the horse industry is the largest industry in Fauquier County.

It seems like the Virginia Gold Cup organizers suddenly realized that the admission fee to the races has finally gone out of reach of local people. This used to be a local event but not in recent memory. $85 for a carload of 6 graciously discounted to $65 for Fauquier citizens. Used to be $5 each. $10 @ was within bounds. The event must be underselling
