Suspect in Bealeton farm coworker assault surrenders

Charged with three felonies in Liberty Road fight, Juan Jose Pinon Villagomez walked into the Fauquier sheriff’s office Wednesday afternoon.
The fugitive who allegedly assaulted a Bealeton farm coworker with a steel bar Oct. 22 surrendered at the Fauquier sheriff’s office Wednesday afternoon.

Juan Jose Pinon Villagomez, 36, of Stafford, hit the victim with “a blunt metallic object” and fired a handgun “multiple times” without shooting anyone during the incident, Sgt. James Hartman said. The coworker suffered “non-life-threatening injuries.”

Mr. Villagomez that morning fled the scene on Liberty Road northeast of Bealeton, according to Sgt. Hartman.

But, deputies the same day charged him with attempted malicious wounding, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Deputies also arrested Juan Carlos Juarez, 41, of Stafford, and him charged with one count of malicious wounding.

Reported at 9:18 a.m., the incident took place in a barn in the 5500 block of Liberty Road.

The sheriff’s office issued a bulletin seeking help finding Mr. Villagomez, who “turned himself in at the sheriff’s office” in Warrenton without incident, Sgt. Hartman said.

He remained in the county jail without bond Wednesday night.
