Trash truck crewman hit, badly injured Monday
A trash truck crew member suffered serious injuries Monday morning when a vehicle hit him on Broad Run Church Road near New Baltimore, according to the Fauquier sheriff’s office.
The accident took place about 8:30 a.m. in the 5100 block of Broad Run Church Road near Kelly Road, Sgt. James Hartman said.
“A trash service truck was collecting refuse . . . and had stopped at a driveway,” Sgt. Hartman wrote in a press release. “A worker exited the truck and attempted to collect refuse on the opposite side of the roadway when he was struck by a 2017 Jeep driven by a 40-year-old female from Warrenton.
“The vehicle was apparently attempting to pass the truck on a double yellow line in a no-passing zone.”
A medical helicopter flew the worker, a 28-year-old Manassas resident, to a Northern Virginia trauma center.
The incident remains under investigation, with charges pending, according to Sgt. Hartman.

Thoughts and Prayers to the driver of the Jeep. (Sarcasm intended)

Most likely. The rush hour traffic in the area is insane. And you never see a cop anywhere between New Baltimore and Bristow.

Probably after barreling down Kelly Rd at 70 in a 35, like all the other commuters skipping Rt29 traffic.
