High schools raise athletic ticket prices for 2013-14

Each of the county’s three schools will raise athletic ticket prices to $6 this season.

Last year’s rate was $5 for all regular season home games.

Fauquier, Kettle Run, Liberty and Brentsville agreed to raise the price during an Evergreen District activities director meeting last spring.

The district’s newcomers in 2013 – Culpeper and Eastern View – charged $6 last year. They were members of the Battlefield District.

Warren County left the Evergreen and will compete in the Bull Run District this season.

The remaining schools chose to raise their prices rather than forcing the Culpeper schools to lower their own.
