Over time, Vogel grows on me. I do think she cares and wants to represent her district as best she can.
That having been said, I think this unnecessary government reach. At some point, we need to accept that government cannot fix every problem and that not every solution comes from a committee with its own fully-funded regulatory structure.
Ironically, this move may be coming from music therapists themselves who see regulation as a path to legitimacy, higher fees and entry barriers to competition.
Government certification of professionals is an attempt to use govt to create new property. A music therapy certification, like a law or medical degree, will be fair game for value splitting in a divorce. It will be another bureaucracy.
