$750,000 in grants available for nonprofit operations
The Warrenton-based PATH Foundation has announced the availability of up to $750,000 for general operations grants to qualifying nonprofits in Fauquier, Rappahannock and northern Culpeper counties.
The funds will offer unrestricted funding for organizations to use toward general expenses, such as rent, utilities and equipment.
“These general operations grants are designed to ease the burden of funding these regular expenses, allowing the nonprofits to do what they do best – help our community,” PATH President Christy Connolly said.
The grants require rigorous evaluation of applicants’ governance, finance, programs and public disclosure. Organizations that meet or work toward a majority of the best practices outlined in the guidelines are eligible for funds.
“We want to empower exceptional nonprofits, so they can expand the good work they’re doing in our area, as well as continuing to develop a shared standard of best practices that can be a goal for all nonprofits, no matter their size or scope,” Ms. Connolly said.
The the general operations grant application deadline is Friday, Oct. 12.
