More than 90 people attended the Fauquier Chamber of Commerce Women’s Business Council luncheon and Health Care Reform seminar Wednesday, March 20, at Fauquier Springs Country Club.

Rebecca M. Fallen, director of sales in Virginia for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield shared some of the more important points in the Health Care Reform Act. Ms. Fallen noted regulations already in effect, with particular emphasis on those that will take effect in 2014 and their impact on citizens and the business community.

Formed in 2010, the Women's Business Council focuses on providing support to women in all facets of business, whether they are employees, entrepreneurs, mid-level administrators or senior managers. The chamber, through the Women’s Business Council, hosts educational programs and events to assist women’s professional development.

The next Women’s Business Council seminar and luncheon is scheduled for Wednesday, May 22. It’s topic will be “Take the EEK! Out of Public Speaking,” with guest speaker Peggy Kimmey of Kimmey Training and Consulting LLC at Fauquier Springs Country Club. RSVP required.
