Accolades continue for Kettle Run boys soccer

Kettle Run sophomore boys soccer player Kevin Coleman named all-American and Virginia player of the year by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America,
KR senior Garrett Magill earned NSCAA all-South honors.
Kettle Run boys soccer coach Phil Roper earned small-school division coach of the year award in Virginia by NSCAA.
Accolades continue to pour in for the Kettle Run boys soccer program.

Winning this year’s Group 3A state championship the Cougars players and coach picked up regional and state awards.

Now, two players and Coach Phil Roper have earned national recognition.

Sophomore Kevin Coleman won all-American status and the Virginia player-of-the-year award from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Senior Garrett Magill earned a position on the all-south region team.

Both boys won spots on the 3A all-state team.

Coach Roper received NSCAA boys' coach of the year honors for Virginia small-schools division.

The NSCAA has dedicated itself to improving the game of soccer through the development of coaches by offering courses, clinics and conferences for its members.
