“Disney’s Aladdin Jr.” opens on FCT stage

The Fauquier Community Theatre offers a magic carpet ride with Disney’s Aladdin Jr., opening a three-weekend run Friday, June 14, on the stage at Vint Hill.

Princess Jasmine, Genie and Aladdin embark on an adventure filled with magic and mayhem in the show appropriate for all ages. The Academy Award-winning score includes favorite songs such as “A Whole New World,” “One Jump Ahead” and “A Friend Like Me.”

Principal roles include Michael Golder as Aladdin, Joshua Vest as the Genie, Susanna Constable as Jasmine, Josh Colliluri as Sultan, Krispin Lawson as Jafar, Joshua Otten as Iago and Matthias Constable as Razoul.

The Guards are played by Jeremy Vest, Isaac Ballinger, John Gebhardt, and the narrators are Ali Amado, Mia Amado, Olivia O’Hara, Isabella Cardine and Rebecca Kiser.

Olivia Cardine is the Magic Carpet, Keelin Nye is Abu and Ava Marie Yarbough is Rajah. The ensemble includes Shane Koehr, Kirk Noe, Seamus Koehr, Abby Constable, Ana Perrius, Aurora Perrius, Maura Kate O’Hara, Ella Slevin, Sienna Cardine, Emily Markley, Sherise Aylor, Sarah Spagnolo, Danny Spagnolo, Alicia Dennis, Sierra Aylor, Juliana Cardine and Carolyn Constable.

The show is directed by Jeremy Vest and Evelyn Rice, produced by Patrick Nye, music directed by Ms. Rice, choreographed by Courtney Rice and stage managed by Jessica Hagy.

Disney’s Aladdin Jr. will be performed at The Fauquier Community Theatre at 4225 Aiken Drive on June 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 29 and 30.

Friday and Saturday performances start at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday performances at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 29, will feature performances at 2 and at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and students.

A combined dinner/show will take place Sunday, June 23, with The Inn at Vint Hill. Those tickets are $32 for adults and $20 for students and seniors. The characters will be at the inn to meet patrons.
