The play runs for three weekends from Friday, Oct. 6 to Sunday, Oct. 22.
The Broadway show that won three Tony Awards, “1776 The Musical” follows the birth of America as the founding fathers struggle to craft the Declaration of Independence.
Characters include John Adams of Massachusetts, Benjamin Franklin of Pennsylvania and Thomas Jefferson of Virginia as they attempt to convince the members of the Second Continental Congress to vote for independence from the British monarchy.
Walter Loope directs Fauquier’s version of “1776 The Musical” with 23 cast members.
Performances will take place at the community theatre at Vint Hill, 4225 Aiken Drive, Warrenton.
Shows start at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays.
Adults, $20; children ages 4 to 18 and seniors 60+, $18.
