Adult sleepover Saturday night at Old Jail museum

Illusionist Dean Carnegie will present a magic show, including classic sleight-of-hand magic, mind reading and a “full light séance,”
Adults this Saturday can choose to spend the night in Fauquier’s old jail.

The Fauquier Historical Society offers “A Night at the Old Jail: A Sleepover for Adults.”

Illusionist Dean Carnegie will present his 21st-century take on a 19th-century magic show, including classic sleight-of-hand magic, mind reading and a “full light séance,” in which he will attempt to contact a spirit from the great beyond.

Activities will include a “paranormal tour,” private tour of museum exhibits, snacks, beverages, breakfast and the sleepover. Participants should bring their own sleeping bags.

The cost is $75 per person. Participants must be at least 18.

The event will run from 6:30 p.m. Saturday to 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

Old Jail visitors and guests over the years have reported sightings, unexplainable voices and sounds and other paranormal activity.
