Authors invited to library’s 2nd “Great Authors” fair

The Fauquier County Public Library has invited local authors to participate in its second “Great Writers, Right Here” event Friday, Sept. 30.

More than 25 participated last year in the local author fair and many more expressed interest.

This year’s event will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the First Baptist Church’s Family Life Center at 39 Alexandria in Warrenton. The venue will provide more space for more authors.

“Great Writers, Right Here” is open to local published authors from various genres and subjects. It will provide writers an opportunity to share and discuss their works with the community and to sign and sell their books.

Advance author registration is required. Registrations will be accepted Aug. 1-31. Interested authors can register online at fauquierlibrary.org or by calling Natalie Wheelerat at 540-422-8532. Author space is limited; early registration is encouraged. Priority will be given to authors who did not participate in last year’s event.

“We knew there was a need for an event like ‘Great Writers, Right Here’ in our community and were pleased to have such an enthusiastic turnout in 2015,” Library Director Maria Del Rosso said. “ ‘Great Writers, Right Here 2016’ promises to be a wonderful evening to celebrate local talent and reading.”
