The Fauquier Community Theatre youth actors present “Into the Woods, Jr.” opening Friday, June 8.

Twenty-two young adults ages 10 to 18 from Fauquier and surrounding counties will perform in the family-friendly comedic fairytale.

A shortened version of the Tony-award winning musical, “Into the Woods, Jr.” follows a baker and his wife who wish to have a child; Cinderella; Little Red Riding Hood; Jack and his beanstalk; Rapunzel; the Wolf and other memorable characters.

Directed by Cathy Davis and produced by Saralyn Aylor, the play exudes humor, inspiration and life lessons.

“This is going to be a great show with some fresh faces and new talent. Even audience members who are familiar with ‘Into the Woods’ will be surprised and excited to see our version,” said Ms. Davis. “The show is full of humor, it is very funny.”

Performances will take place over two weekends: June 8 to 10 and June 15 to 17.

Shows start at 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays.

Performances will take place at the Vint Hill Theatre, 4225 Aiken Drive, Warrenton.

Tickets available online or by calling 540-349-8760. Adults, $14; children ages 3 to 18 and seniors 60+, $12.
