Daniel J Moore — Domestic Aspirations will carry home furnishings and artwork.
Daniel J. Moore Design — Domestic Aspirations will open Wednesday, April 26, at 8393 W. Main St. in Marshall.

A Hume resident, Mr. Moore said his new home furnishing shop will seek to capitalize on “the Marshall Main Street renaissance.”

Domestic Aspirations will carry European antiques, “fine reproductions,” contemporary accents, designer lighting, found objects, limited upholstery and fine art.

At its opening, the shop will feature the work of five Northern Virginia artists: Pamela Steuart, Krister Killinger, Tara Jelenic, Suz Podrasky and Julie Miles.

Domestic Aspirations will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Mr. Moore and business partner Dianna Campagna bought the three-story “Greenhouse Building” on Main Street and adjacent quarter-acre lot for $565,000 in July. They plan several business ventures there.

The Greenhouse Building, neglected for a time, is a treasure and Moore's enterprise is welcome as Marshall continues to progress.

For those unfamiliar with Marshall's changes, drop by a Chicago hot dog or another treat at Riccordino's, next to Field & Main (fine farm-to-table dining with extraordinary wine, much of it local).
