Democratic caucus to select 18th District candidate

Democrats will caucus Saturday, May 17, in Warrenton to select their nominee for the 18th District seat in the Virginia House of Delegates.

The caucus will begin at 2 p.m. in the Warrenton Community Center at 430 E. Shirley Ave.

To seek the nomination, a candidate must file a Declaration of Candidacy form along and a $360 filing fee with Dee Pendley, chairman of the 18th District Nominating Committee, 13201 Hazegrov Farm Lane, Linden, Va. 22642 by 6 p.m. Saturday, April 15.

To participate in the caucus, a citizen must sign a form stating that he or she is a Democrat, does not intend to support any candidate who is opposed to a Democratic nominee in general election, and is a registered voter in the district.

The doors will open at 1:15 p.m. May 27. The caucus will begin promptly at 2 p.m., when the doors will close.

For more information, call Mr. Pendley at 703-304-6344.

Two dates for this caucus are in this article. I checked on it and the proper date is Saturday, May 27. FauquierNowNews - typos like this aren't acceptable, I don't care what the event is or who is sponsoring the event. Now Mr. Pendley is going to be getting many unnecessary phone calls.
