Discounted Va. Gold Cup tickets for county residents

Fauquier residents can save $25 on general admission passes to the Virginia Gold Cup races Saturday, May 6, at Great Meadow.
Fauquier County residents may purchase discounted general admission passes for the 92nd Virginia Gold Cup steeplechase races Saturday, May 6, at Great Meadow, near The Plains.

Those who live in Fauquier may purchase up to two tickets for $75 each — a $25 discount. Each ticket will admit one vehicle with up to six people.

The discounted tickets are limited to two per household. Those passes provide entry only on the south side of Great Meadow, along Route 17.

“Please, read the back of the passes,” said Sarah Robb, Gold Cup’s ticket manager.

The discounted tickets require a valid ID and may be purchased at the Virginia Gold Cup office at 90 Main St. in Warrenton. The Gold Cup office will be open until 7 p.m. Friday, May 5.

Normal office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.

For more information, call 540-347-2612.

Harris Teeter also offers discounted general admission passes for $80 to VIC cardholders. The grocery also offers Members Hill badges for $44 each, a discount of $11.
