Fall festival and “bash” Saturday in Remington

The 36th annual Remington Fall Festival will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 14.
The 36th annual Remington Fall Festival will feature more than 80 vendors Saturday on Main Street.

The festival will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Attractions will include a petting zoo, interactive demonstrations and children’s activities. There will be more than six hours of live entertainment, including a dance presentation, karate demonstration, country music, bluegrass music and southern rock. Admission is free.

Food options will include a breakfast by the Remington Baptist Church from 6 to 10 a.m., and lunch at the food court on Main Street.

The Southern Fauquier Business Owners Association will conduct its annual duck race on the Rappahannock River to raise funds for scholarships.

Also Saturday, the Remington Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department will host its Fall Bash gun raffle.

The volunteers will draw a prize winner every 10 minutes from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are $20 each. They may be purchased at RTO Town and Automotive, The Corner Deli and at www.rvfrd.com.
