The liberal universe consists of a number of foundational principles that are logically and financially unsustainable. From Obamaphones to "Medicare for all," the Democrats embrace ideals that will, in the end, thoroughly destroy the country. And the truly astounding thing about all of it remains the blatant hypocrisy of the Democrats. What will the Left do if all of their ideals come to fruition- when the very things they've come to enjoy in life but refuse to acknowledge which are critical, are subequently taken away from them? Under the Leftist Utopian Dream, commerce would cease to exist; private property would be taken away and everyone would live in government-controlled and selected housing; health care would be run by bureaucrats and medical innovation would disappear (look at Venezuela's hospitals today); the entire infrastructure and delivery systems around us that provide water, electricity, gas, and fuel for cars would be disrupted or destroyed because those very systems are maintained through profit; Liberals would discover that their Starbucks latte and the restaurants they like to eat at have disappeared because the food industry (another big, bad Satan to Liberals) has been grounded. I could go on and on. In any case, the Left / Progressive / Democrat (all the same nowadays) aren't just dumbed down (and far too many are lawless, morality-absent evildoers) they're downright deluded. Deluded by the very "principles" they think will save our universe. The Left has become like locusts, devouring everything in sight and then moving on to the next target. Eventually, there won't be anything left.
The last U.S. President to wage a secret war against Communists which became embedded in the highest levels of our Government was General Dwight D. Eisenhower. President Eisenhower characterized in very stark terms the danger of the internal Communist threat to America in 1953 communicating via classified memo to his Attorney General:
“The Communists are a class set apart by themselves. Indeed, I think they are such liars and cheats that even when they apparently recant and later testify against someone else for his Communist convictions, my first reaction is to believe that the accused person must be a patriot or he wouldn’t have incurred the enmity of such people. So even when these “reformed” Communists have proved useful in helping us track down some of their old associates, I certainly look for corroborating evidence before I feel too easy in my mind about it… But I also believe that anyone who, after the blockade of Berlin began (or some other equally revealing incident), continued to speak in support of the Soviets or in terms of sympathy for them, is either very stupid or very dangerous.”
But to address your Marxist obfuscation below, let’s look at our current situation in America another way, shall we?

One of the most distinguished scholars of our time observes it is no secret that America is coming apart. In 1960, the U.S. was at the height of its prosperity and prestige. Although the size of a continent, it was unified by a common language and a common Anglo-Protestant political, moral and religious culture. To protect that culture, immigrants from Western Europe were favored as being the easiest to assimilate. When populations from Eastern Europe and Russia seemed to unbalance that culture, immigration was virtually shut down for some 40 years to allow assimilation.
It resumed in 1965 but with some 90 percent of immigrants coming from the third world. America, it was said, should “look like the world.” This occurred with the rise of political correctness and its charge that America is structurally a white supremacist society. Immigrants were encouraged to retain their culture. And immigration laws were not substantially enforced. By some estimates the number of illegal immigrants could be as high as 20 million. If so, that is more than all the Germans, Italian, Irish, and Jews who immigrated in the past 400 years.
The result has been an ethnic demographic revolution unequaled anywhere in the world. In 1960, 85 percent of Americans were white, 11 percent black, and Hispanics were a mere 3.5 percent. The estimates today are that by 2040 whites will be a minority of around 47 percent, Hispanics will be 30 percent, and blacks will be 13 percent. The great majority of Hispanics are from Mexico. Of all immigrant groups, Mexicans are at the bottom in education, entrepreneurship, desire to assimilate, or even to seek citizenship.
In California and South Florida, there are Hispanic communities totaling 3 million each where 66 percent speak Spanish on a regular basis. Each community is the size of Uruguay or larger than Lithuania. Arabic is an official language in Michigan. In time, these could be independent states. Thirty percent of Dearborn, Michigan is Islamic, and there is persistent demand for the incorporation of Sharia Law. Some two hundred languages are taught in Chicago schools (and over 160 languages are spoken in Fairfax County, Virginia Public Schools- and rising no doubt).
These are the fruits of the now mainstream mantra that America is a “multi-cultural” society, that “diversity” is our strength, and the like. To this should be added, the implacable struggle between Red and Blue states for control of central power. After Bush defeated Gore in 2000, Blue state Democrat pundits raised the question of secession. This sentiment has filtered down to the public. In 2008, a Zogby poll found that 22 percent of Americans believed a state has a right to secede. In a 2018 Zogby poll, that number had jumped to 39 percent with 29 percent not sure. That means 68 percent of Americans are willing to consider secession. Francis Bellamy, who created the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, recorded that it was designed to explain the meaning of the War of 1861-65 which he said, “reduced to three words: ‘one nation indivisible.’” Today, a majority of Americans are open to scrapping the “indivisible” part. The debate on dividing the United States that has long been massively out of human scale and size after Mr. Lincoln’s bloodiest conflict of the 19th Century to create an American empire- and the subsequent destruction of any true representative government originally envisioned by our American Founders- is underway.
Whether the Union will be divided or whether it can be radically decentralized, only God knows.
The only thing that keeps me, as a paleo-conservative, from going stark raving mad over the idiocy of the modern Bolshevik Left and the direction of our country is the fact that my faith isn't in government and this world isn't my home. And that's a whole lot more hope than most of the Bolsheviks in our community and across our nation have.

from your article, JA, "Governments are collectivism and control—unity under tyranny....The shattering will present producers with our best opportunity since the American Revolution (the US disuniting from Great Britain) to defend territory and set up political arrangements based on liberty, individual rights, honest production, and voluntary exchange. In the meantime, we must reject our oppressors’ calls for unity. It isn’t free and we’re paying for it. Disunity is our path to freedom."
Exactly why I said you are shifting towards progressive/extreme:
"ANARCHISM (from the Gr. an and archos, contrary to authority), the name given to a principle or theory of life and conduct under which society is conceived without government - harmony in such a society being obtained, not by submission to law, or by obedience to any authority, but by free agreements concluded between the various groups, territorial and professional, freely constituted for the sake of production and consumption, as also for the satisfaction of the infinite variety of needs and aspirations of a civilized being. In a society developed on these lines, the voluntary associations which already now begin to cover all the fields of human activity would take a still greater extension so as to substitute themselves for the state in all its functions. They would represent an interwoven network, composed of an infinite variety of groups and federations of all sizes and degrees, local, regional, national and international temporary or more or less permanent - for all possible purposes: production, consumption and exchange, communications, sanitary arrangements, education, mutual protection, defence of the territory, and so on; and, on the other side, for the satisfaction of an ever-increasing number of scientific, artistic, literary and sociable needs. Moreover, such a society would represent nothing immutable. On the contrary - as is seen in organic life at large - harmony would (it is contended) result from an ever-changing adjustment and readjustment of equilibrium between the multitudes of forces and influences, and this adjustment would be the easier to obtain as none of the forces would enjoy a special protection from the state."

How curious this particular group with Chicago-based organizers come together in communities across the nation pleading for "unity and healing" only after President Trump's election in 2016, feigning concern for our U.S. Constitution while bashing the policies of this duly elected U.S. President attempting to protect our borders against illegal alien invasion, and the rule of law. While promoting their form of Creeping Sharia in our community, they are also apparently totally blind to the massive corruption and corrosion upon our society wrought by Democrat policies- spanning more than half a century in earnest- and the crimes committed against the American people by the Clinton and Obama Regimes, specifically. No cause for concern there- or for the ongoing lawlessness sabotaging the Election Day outcomes of the 2018 mid-term Election by brazen, shameless, crimminal Democrat Party operatives in charge of counting the votes in Florida, Arizona, Georgia, Texas, California, and here in Virginia- all documented cases of massive voter fraud. Here is a particularly well-written article about these recent calls for "unity" which gets to the point of the matter:

JUST to be clear - these were two different rallies on different days and in different locations in Warrenton. The Fauquier Indivisible rally was a "no one is above the law rally" in response to the President firing the Attorney General and concern for what that might mean for the Mueller investigation. The Healing and Unity rally was an interfaith rally against the hate that leads individuals to commit the kinds of crimes we saw in Pennsylvania and Kentucky just that week and the rising number of hate crimes we are seeing every week.
It is hard to understand how any American who truly believes in the Constitution and the principles on which America was founded can object to rallies supporting equal justice under law and religious freedom.

JA,- you are talking some of the most progressive talk of any Fauquierian, even if based on your interpretation of the founding fathers ideals. Being so against Communism and the breaking of laws, it is hard to understand why you may fault the desire of so many to make sure that the investigation of Trump is seen through.
Why are so many people in Fauquier hung up on socialism? Who in Fauquier has pushed for a shift towards socialism? The local democrats that I have heard talk would like to see our country return to how things were prior to Trump, this area is not very progressive.

Any Americans old enough to be paying attention since the departure of U.S. President Dwight Eisenhower with the corrupt Kennedys and subsequently, the horrific Lyndon Baines Johnson and Ted Kennedy's 1965 Immigration Act has known for many years now we would finally arrive at this place in history- the Left is trying to destroy this country. This event is another example as just this past week, the "Straight Outta Warrenton" agitators, also known as the "Fauquier Indivisibles," were proclaiming this rally to be about "No one is above the law," and a continuation of the kind of very ugly remarks from their rally last February, 2017, which bashed our duly elected U.S. President and his efforts to secure our open borders, secure our communities, and secure our families and homes from the ongoing lawlessness and disastrous illegal alien invasion, among other protests usurping the United States Constitution as the rule of law across our land. It is a reminder our life-long fight in the service of our country against the spread of Marxist-Communist tyranny and its ugly doctrines around the world has sadly and tragically failed to prevent the steady growth of this cancer throughout our American society in our current time. Who would have ever guessed Dwight Eisenhower's America in my lifetime would reach a point where "Straight Outta Warrenton" radical Leftists now proclaim their admiration and advocacy of "mild socialism" as the prescription for America's future? Please- move at once to Venezuela and see for yourselves where "mild socialism" ends- starving people all suffering "equally," in a sea of mass hopelessness and wretched despair; exploding bodies in the hospitals with "free health care for all" run by the State; desperate citizens eating pets in the streets; etc. No- Thinking Americans are not buying your horrific delusions of a Socialist Workers Paradise or Marxist-Communist indoctrinations. Beware my fellow Fauquier citizens of this spreading cancer in our community not-too-thinly disguised as both a "No one is above the law," rally (except for the Clintons, the Obamas, Democrats in Congress, Bolsheviks running for the U.S. Senate and Governorships in Florida and Georgia, etc. who are all currently above the law); and alternately, an "Inter-faith Rally" with past hostility toward our President and our U.S. Constitution as the rule of law of the land, and foreign languages spoken in our own Courthouse Square. No wonder so many Americans abandon liberal church congregations every passing year as these churches promote and welcome Open Borders, facilitate illegal alien invasion of the United States of America; and wishes for a Globalist Utopia imposed on all Americans. Samuel Adams observed this same kind of mindset over 240 years ago among one-third of the hapless American colonists during the First American Secession from the British Crown when he stated, "If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen."
Perhaps the "Straight Outta Warrenton" and the Chicago-based, Alinskyite, "Interfaith Rally" organizers will hear our faith: May God bless all who seek Him; may God bless all our law-abiding citizens, our President and our elected officials who seek in our current time to support, strengthen and safeguard the security of our country and our families while upholding our U.S. Constitution as the rule of law across our national, state and local communities; and may America Bless God.
One of the most distinguished scholars of our time recently observed it is no secret America is coming apart. Whether the Union will be divided or whether it can be radically decentralized, only God knows. But a number of things are clear: (1) the demographic revolution America has gone through in a single generation is something no nation state has ever experienced and survived. Indeed, the America that flourished from 1865 to the immigration act of 1965 arguably has not survived. (2) the conflict between Red and Blue states is here for the foreseeable future. A recent Reuters poll found that nearly a third of Americans believe some sort of civil war will occur within five years. (3) the genie of secession cannot be put back into the bottle by reciting the pledge of "indivisibility." (4) the central government is, and has long been, dysfunctional. It is incapable of reaching a consensus on policy for the conflicts arising from the above, not to mention those springing from runaway spending and public debt. Let us pray for our country, and avoid the false gods of Socialism, Marxism and Communist doctrines. Our uniquely American liberty and freedom- what little remains of it- depend upon it.
