Show of Karen Stinnett’s paintings runs until May 20

More than 100 paintings by Karen Stinnett will remain on display through May 20 at The Highland Center for the Arts Gallery in Warrenton.

Ms. Stinnett’s work often features architecture, interpreted in bold colors and lighting.

An Amissville resident, she earned a bachelor’s degree in fine art at Western Carolina University and a master’s at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.

She has taught art to Upper School students at Highland School since 1982.

The retrospective show is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays or by appointment.
