“Legally Blonde: The Musical” opens Sept. 30

The play runs for the next three weekends until Oct. 16.
A comedic musical opens this weekend at the community theatre.

“Legally Blonde: The Musical” opens Friday, Sept. 30 at the Fauquier Community Theatre.

The musical follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, snobbery and scandal in pursuit of her dreams.

Based on the romantic comedy movie, “Legally Blonde,” this play features a peppy score and memorable dance numbers.

“Legally Blonde: The Musical” will take the audience from a sorority house to the halls of justice with Elle and her Chihuahua, Bruiser.

The large cast features many up-and-coming stars and well-known stage veterans.

Dominique Herring stars as Elle Woods.

Cast members include: Brandon Leatherland, Rebecca Lake Pool, Hannah Butler, Carleigh Hopkins, Rachel Davis, Rodrigo Pool, Michael Golder, Betsy Hansen, Alana Pasquale, Ricky Parks, Esther Tennyson, Alyssa Gilmore, Samantha Franklin, Nicole Kardaras and Blythe Condon.

Supporting cast includes: James Masten, Vinnie Demafeliz, Josh Vest, Lauren Hayworth and Will Macleod.

Evelyn Rice directs the show at the community theatre at 4225 Aiken Drive, Warrenton.

“Legally Blonde: The Musical” runs for three weekends, Sept. 30 to Oct. 16.

Performances run Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m.

Adults, $18; seniors 60+ and children ages 3 to 18, $16.
