Masked men break into Catlett home, demand money

Fauquier sheriff’s investigators seek help finding suspects in a break-in and attempted robbery Wednesday night at a Catlett home.

Deputies responded to a home in the 11000 block of Brent Town Road around 11:30 p.m. Nov. 14, Sgt. James Hartman said.

“Witnesses reported three armed, masked males entered the home demanding narcotics and money,” Sgt. Hartman said Friday afternoon. “An occupant of the home was assaulted prior the suspects leaving without taking anything.
“The suspects are described as white males wearing dark clothing. This incident does not appear to be random and the investigation continues.”
The sergeant asked anyone with information about the crime to call the sheriff’s office at 540-347-3300.

We have not posted much on here but thought the community might find this information interesting. Please read and form your own opinions. This disturbing case in Catlett was reported by the SO as a suspicious event on their Daily Activity Report just 24-48 hours earlier (link below). Transparency is always important but it is critical to enhance community safety with recent incidents like the double homicide and now this violent case. Help keep the community safe with timely, accurate information. To all deputies, please stay safe and take care of each other! Chris
