Don Richardson stars as Leonato, Trevor Telesz as Claudio and Josh Vest as Benedik in Shakespeare’s comedy opening this weekend at the community theatre.
The Fauquier Community Theatre presents William Shakespeare’s classic “Much Ado About Nothing” March 9 to 25.

One of Shakespeare’s best-known and best-loved comedies, the play follows young Count Claudio who returns from war and falls in love with Hero, daughter of the Governor of Messina.

Don Pedro works to make the match happen, but his evil brother Don John plots to ruin the courtship.

Meanwhile, the rest of the cast trick Beatrice and Benedick, a solider who has vowed to never marry, into confessing their love for each other.

Directed by Will McLeod. Produced by Rodrigo and Rebecca Pool.

Performances will take place on weekends at the community theatre, 4225 Aiken Drive, Warrenton in Vint Hill.

Shows start at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays.

Adults, $17; seniors 60+ and students ages 4 to 18, $15.

Tickets available online or by calling 540-349-8760.
