Every third Sunday of the month, the volunteers serve an all-you-can-eat country breakfast.
This Sunday, March 19, they will serve scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, grits, biscuits and gravy, home fries, coffee, tea and orange juice from 8 to 11 a.m.
The cost is $8 per person and $3 per child younger than 9.
On Saturday, March 25, the department will host its annual ham and oyster dinner.
The menu will include fried and raw oysters, old country ham, honey glazed ham, parsley potatoes, corn pudding, cole slaw, green beans, assorted desserts, coffee and tea.
The all-you-can-eat cost will be $28 person and $8 for a child younger than 9. A “Kiddies Plate” of a hot dog and chips will be free.
The volunteers continue to raise funds for the planned construction of a new fire/rescue station in the village.
