“Responsible government” and Warrenton election

By Christopher Bonner

In my view, the most consequential vote by Warrenton Town Council in recent memory was 6-1 in favor of the controversial Walker Drive development. Vice Mayor Sunny Reynolds led the charge for this development. Only Councilman Sean Pollster voted no.

Walker Drive will accelerate the hollowing out of Main Street, draw customers from shopping centers on Broadview and needlessly add 11,250 cars to Warrenton every day. The town council, led by Ms. Reynolds, approved Walker Drive without adequate study and ignored the wishes of nearby residents and others who spoke passionately against the development and its empty promises of a movie theater and bowling alley.

On May 1, Warrenton voters have an opportunity to vote for responsible government that places the needs of the town and its residents ahead of special interests. Please, vote for Mr. Pollster and Renard Carlos.

Grace Rigby is the best choice for Mayor of Warrenton. A fresh face for our local government.

Sunny Reynolds is the most experienced member of the town council. She is a very long citizen of Warrenton. She loves the town. She needs the support of all Warrenton voters.

Mr. Bonner is absolutely correct. Mr. Sean Pollster, Mr. Renard Carlos and Ms. Grace Rigby can help bring responsible government back. They have the public's best interest at heart and not their own selfish agendas.
