Roads flooded across Southern Fauquier

The sheriff’s office posted this photo from Elk Run Road just before 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Incessant rain has saturated Fauquier and flooded about 20 roads, primarily south of Warrenton.

The Fauquier County Sheriff’s Office posted this photo from Elk Run Road just before 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, with this warning:

TRAFFIC ALERT: many of our secondary roads are affected by high water. This is Elk Run Road between Bristersburg and Midland Rd. DO NOT attempt to drive through water in the roadway.

Elk Run road from Bristersburg rd to Midland Rd

Elk Run Rd from Sowego to Laws Ford Rd
