Schools select students’ winning recycling posters

More than 100 students from public schools participated in the Fauquier County Recycling Committee’s poster contest to promote awareness and educate the community.

At each school, a selection committee chose the top posters to submit for countywide judging. Representatives from the recycling committee along with school administration office staff selected the following poster contest winners, listed in order of first and second places and honorable mentions for each grade level:

• Kindergarten — David Marley, Greenville Elementary School; Keith Brammer, Bradley Elementary School

• First grade — Piper Graham, Bradley Elementary School

• Second grade — Avery Moore, Bradley Elementary School; Wyatt Cribley-Agnese, Greenville Elementary School

• Third grade — Cecilia Moore, Bradley Elementary School; Autumn Florio, Greenville Elementary School

• Fourth grade — Caylee Hunt, Bradley Elementary School; Aaron Barton, Greenville Elementary School

• Sixth grade — Victoria Cunningham, Marshall Middle School; Riley Covington, Cedar Lee Middle School

• Seventh grade — Sadie Sassi, Marshall Middle School; Piper Nelson, Marshall Middle School; Caden Rynestad, Cedar Lee Middle School.

• Eighth grade — Abbey Pearson, Cedar Lee Middle School; Madi Bayliff, Marshall Middle School; Macy Reynolds, Marshall Middle School.

The entries will be displayed at the All County Arts Festival from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 29, and noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Kettle Run High School.
