Leah Daily and Lori Brooks star in the comedic play, which runs Jan. 27 to Feb. 12
A comedic performance of Steve Martin’s “The Underpants” opens this month at the Fauquier Community Theatre.

A very public wardrobe malfunction becomes the talk of the town in Dusseldorf, Germany in 1910.

The play follows Theo and his wife Louise who have a vacant room in their apartment.

One unfortunate morning, Louise attends a parade to try to catch a glimpse of the king and her underpants fall to her ankles.

Suddenly the couple has two renters: Versati and Cohen.

Having witnessed the underpants scandal, both men secretly confess their love to Louise and begin to battle for her favor.

Rated PG-13.

Cast members include: Joseph Bersack, Lori Brooks, Leah Daily, Ricardo Padilla, Zachary Taylor and Josh Vest. The Bull Run Cloggers will also perform.

The show opens at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27.

Scott J. Strasbaugh directs the show at the community theatre at 4225 Aiken Drive, Warrenton.

“The Underpants” runs for three weekends, Jan. 27 to Feb. 12.
