Big Picture: 2 sets of triplets graduate from Kettle Run
From left: Emily Trotto, Erica Johnson, Mary Trotto, Savannah Johnson, Claire Trotto, and Hailey Johnson — two sets of triplets — pose for photos after graduating from Kettle Run High School on Friday, May 26.
As Kettle Run High School completed the graduation of its Class of 2017, some history went largely unnoticed.
Two local families had six sisters graduate simultaneously. The Trotto and Johnson families each had a set of triplets cross the stage to receive diplomas from Principal Major Warner.
A proud father, Tom Trotto wrote: “The young ladies, Mary, Emily and Claire Trotto and Erica, Hailey and Savanah Johnson have all grown up together here in Fauquier County.
“They have had a unique and special bond, and their families have maintained a close relationship over the past many years. Playing together on the same soccer teams and attending school together, the girls have become very close.
“They have each distinguished themselves in various ways, academically, athletically and artistically, each through her own unique strengths. As they turn to the next chapter in their lives moving on from high school, they face a new challenge, experiencing a distant and prolonged separation from their sisters for the first time.”
Mr. Trotto provided this photo, taken after the May 26 ceremony.
