Wild horse painting exhibit opens at Fauquier Hospital
“Spring Break” by Linda Martin.
“Pickup Day at Piney Woods” by Linda Martin.
Watercolor paintings by Remington artist Linda L. Martin will hang in Fauquier Hospital for a two-month exhibit that opens Friday, Sept. 1.
“Wild Horses of America” features two dozen samples of the work Ms. Martin produced as part of her “Mustang A Day Challenge.” She painted one wild horse a day, five days a week, and posted the artwork on her blog — sometimes with stories and photographs.
Ms. Martin painted 700 wild horses from 2010 through 2016, collaborating with advocates for the animals and photographers.
She contributes a portion of the proceeds from each painting sale to charities such as The Mustang Heritage Foundation, Chincoteague Pony Rescue and Corolla Wild Horse Fund.
The show will be open during regular lobby hours at the hospital.
