The Allegro Community Players present the Broadway hit musical “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” June 2-4 at the Warrenton Middle School auditorium.

A cast of six adults and teens will perform in the play, based on the comic strip “Peanuts” by Charles M. Schulz.

“The cast and directors have worked hard pulling this show together,” said Executive Director Sam Yoder. “Charlie Brown marks the beginning of the Allegro Community Players which is an audition theatre for adults, teens and children. We’re excited for the growth of the new program.”

The cast of “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” includes: Fauquier High senior Jeremy Alexander as Charlie Brown; Auburn and Warrenton middle chorus teacher Rachel Davis as Lucy; Fauquier High junior Arielle Ward as Sally Brown; Fauquier High junior Chris Agey as Schroeder; local actor James Masten as Linus; and Epiphany Catholic School preschool teacher Adriana Bustamante as Snoopy.

Allegro theatre instructor Kevin Mettinger will direct the show.

Other support members include: music director Randi Puckett, choreographer Ceci Dohm, and stage manager Megan McCoy.

“The Peanuts crew remain relevant even after more than 50 years because we all recognize the universal struggles the characters face,” Mr. Mettinger said. “Charlie Brown examines his self-worth and discovers that the best person he can be is himself.”

Shows take place:

• 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 2.

• 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 3.

• 3 p.m. Sunday, June 4.

Tickets: $15 for adults. $10 for children ages 5 to 10 years old and seniors 65 and older. Children 3 and younger, free.

Advance tickets available online.
