Jones joins Fauquier Bank as commercial manager

Gary Jones
The Fauquier Bank has hired Gary L. Jones II as a vice president senior commercial relationship manager.

Mr. Jones has 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. He worked 10 years as a senior vice president and business banking account representative at M&T Bank in Manassas. His experience includes business and retail banking positions with The Fauquier Bank, BB&T and First Virginia Bank.

Mr. Jones said “the vision that Marc Bogan and Mike York (CEO and COO, respectively) have for The Fauquier Bank” and the opportunities they see in the Prince William County/Manassas market influenced his decision.

“Relationship matters,” he added. “Our job is not to simply process a customer’s request, but to take time to develop a relationship.

“What sets one bank apart from other banks is the banker who cares about customer service, who serves their customer and who delivers for their customer.”

Mr. Jones earned a bachelor’s degree from The College of William and Mary and a master’s in business administration from George Mason University. He serves as a commissioner for the Manassas Economic Development Authority, as a board member for the Youth for Tomorrow New Life Center, on the board of Leadership Prince William and as chairman of the Economic Development Committee for the Prince William Chamber.

Fauquier Bankshares Inc. and its principal subsidiary, The Fauquier Bank, had combined assets of $623.9 million and total shareholder equity of $54.3 million as of Sept. 30.

Founded in 1902, the independent bank has 11 offices in Fauquier and Prince William.
