Sheriff Mosier deserves election to second term

Bob Mosier
By Tanya Remson Wilcox
Warrenton

Let me start by saying, “I like BOB.” As one of five elected constitutional officers in Fauquier County e, I can attest to the challenges Sheriff Mosier is faced with each day.

In the past four years, Sheriff Mosier demonstrated his commitment to the citizens in our community, Fauquier County government and schools and his staff. He is engaging, supportive and attentive when representing our locality at meetings and events.

As the spouse of his former first chief deputy, I can speak to his leadership. He is respectful, professional and hardworking. When he came into office, Sheriff Mosier pledged not to eliminate any positions, but instead to give all employees an opportunity to grow. He and his administration worked feverishly to increase the pay for the sheriff’s office staff. The changes that he made have been balanced between what is needed for his staff and what is affordable for the county.

As his friend of more than 30 years, I can speak to his character. He is true to his word, compassionate, kind and caring. Whether you agree or disagree with a decision that Sheriff Mosier made, rest assured that his intentions are always good. I ask that you join me in voting for Robert P. “BOB” Mosier on June 11.

The writer serves as the treasurer of Fauquier County.

As stated in the opinion above, Bob Mosier faced and surmounted challenges
when he came to office. I believe the citizens of Fauquier County have
lucked in with Bob. I'm confident his resume stacks up against any other
Sheriff's resume in the country. A vote for Bob on June 11th is a vote for the County.
