Austin Levi Burdick, 25, passed away suddenly June 26, 2017, at home in Flint Hill.
Born Dec. 20, 1991, in Warrenton, Mr. Burdick was an entrepreneur, artist and professional polo player. He was homeschooled by his parents, achieved a second-degree black belt in tae kwan do, earned his Eagle Scout badge with three palms, graduated from the University of Virginia and was well respected for his strength of character, good nature, and sense of humor.
He is predeceased by his mother, Jane C. Burdick in 2015.
He is survived by his father, Todd Burdick and Todd's girlfriend, Heidi Fincken of Middleburg; his twin brother, Tyler Burdick of Flint Hill; Austin's girlfriend, Ali Stanley of Linden; his grandmother, Shirley Burdick of Caledonia, N.Y.; two aunts, Lynn Burdick of Caledonia, N.Y., and Amy Lakin and husband Steve of Fort Smith, Ark., and three cousins, Johnston Burdick, Leigh Burdick, and Emma Lakin of Fort Smith, Ark.
The family will receive friends fro 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 2, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton. Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Monday, July 3, at St. Peter Catholic Church near Washington, Va., with burial to follow in the church cemetery. A reception will be held at the church after the burial.
