Dallas Stringfellow, 83, of Spotsylvania, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017.
Mr. Stringfellow was a native of Culpeper County, and grew up as a child of the Great Depression. Having lost both parents before age 3, he was raised by his older half-brother, Weldon Stringfellow, and his family. He moved from Culpeper to Northern Virginia around age 21 and began a 38-year career with United Airlines. Co-workers knew him as “String.”
He leaves behind his wife, Fran Stringfellow; daughter Theresa Vieyra and husband Ernie of Manassas; stepsons, Michael Dominick and wife Lynn of Missoula, Mont., Steve Dominick and wife Karen of Bumpass and Bruce Dominick and wife Amy of Cumberland; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, a brother and three half-brothers.
The service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton, with a reception to follow. Burial will be at Mount Comfort Cemetery in Alexandria on Thursday, Nov. 9, at 11:30 a.m.
